Official parking for Scales Fine Arts Center is available behind the building in Lot Q. To park in this lot when entering Wake Forest from the Reynolda Rd. main entrance, turn left onto Allen Easley St. and then right onto Aaron Ln. To park in this lot when entering from the University Parkway entrance, turn right onto Carroll Weathers Dr. and proceed straight through the intersection at the Polo Rd. entrance. At the stop signs, take a left into Lot Q. After parking follow the sidewalk and walk up the large stairs on your left. Enter the building and Brendle will be to your left (M202). Please refer to the parking map for clarification.
Brendle Recital Hall has designated handicap seating in the back row of the hall, immediately after entering the space. Additionally, Scales Fine Arts Center offers two wheelchair accessible routes to the concert hall. The first option is the easiest when parking in Lot Q. Enter through the lower floor doors located to the left of the large staircase in the breezeway between the two sections of scales. After entering, proceed straight ahead to the elevator. Brendle Recital hall lobby is immediately outside the elevator on the second floor. The second option accommodates those parking in lots on either side of Wait Chapel. Enter through upper Scales by taking the ramp in the front of the building. You will enter on the 3rd floor. Proceed through the first set of double doors on the right to the elevator. Brendle Recital Hall is on the 2nd floor. Please refer to the campus accessibility map for clarification.
On the campus map, Wait Chapel is building 1 (circled below). The main entrance faces South toward Hearn plaza, or the “quad.” To reach the main entrance from behind the building (where parking can be found), take the steps on either side of the building through the covered walk and out onto the plaza. Wait Chapel is connected to Wingate Hall, though seating is not accessible through Wingate hall on performance nights.
Official parking for Wait Chapel events is located in Lot Q. To access the chapel from the parking lot, take the stairs or ramp from the lot towards the chapel and main road. A designated cross walk is at the top of the stairs. Proceed along the sidewalk along the side of the chapel, and up another set of stairs to Hearn Plaza. The entrance to the chapel is accessible from the plaza.
For clarification, please see the parking map.
Wait Chapel is wheelchair accessible and has designated wheelchair seating areas throughout the hall. A ramp from the main parking lot, Lot Q, is located next to the stairs. The wheelchair entrance to the chapel is located on the left side of the building (when facing the chapel from behind). Take the sidewalk to the left from the parking lot ramp, take a right after Davis Chapel and another ramp into the chapel with a wheelchair lift will be in sight.
